Mantis VAG 1.8T 20V - Golf Mk4, S3 8L & TT Performance Ignition Coil - MTP-1021
VAG 1.8T 20V - Golf Mk4, S3 8L & TT performance ignition coil
The Mantis MTP-1021 is a performance ignition coil for compatible VAG 1.8T 20-valve engines using the 06B coil design, including selected Golf GTI Mk4, Audi S3 8L, Audi TT and SEAT Leon Cupra R applications. For engine conversions, match the installed engine and ignition hardware rather than the donor chassis alone.
Supplied individually: price is for one ignition coil. The number required for an engine is not the pack quantity.
Why upgrade to Mantis ignition coils?
Whether you drive a standard road car or a tuned performance build, a dependable spark matters. Mantis coils are engineered to support consistent combustion, with stronger spark delivery for engines working under load.
12% more spark energy
Mantis states that its neodymium magnetic core and precision-wound copper windings deliver 12% more spark energy than standard OE coils, supporting consistent ignition under load.
Smoother running engine
A stronger, consistent spark supports smooth running and easier starting. Replacing a weak or failing coil can help restore reliable firing when the coil is the cause of the problem.
Simple OE replacement
A direct replacement for the matching original coil. On confirmed compatible applications, installation requires no coding, wiring changes or ECU remap.
